Franklin Park Baptist Church is an established church that has been a part of the area for over 150 years. The congregation was established to meet the needs of the newcomers to the area by having Baptist church to worship in.

Franklin Park is a part of the American Baptist Churches/USA denomination. Our goal is to reach out to the community with the love of Jesus Christ. As a part of the family of God, we seek to live out as well as teach the truth of God's word and grace.

We welcome all who want to explore the truth of God's word. You don't have to have all the answers, we don't have all the answers, but we trust that God is the source of all truth.

We are big enough to meet your needs, but small enough to know your name.

Rev. Carol Ross Irwin has been pastor since April of 2005. She is married to Howard Irwin and they have three daughters. Beth, 20, Katie 18, and Julie,13. She is originally from Georgia and attended the Southern Baptist theological seminary. Her preaching style might be called biblical, practical and conversational. The focus of worship is to bring the worshipper more fully into God's presence and be changed by God into the image of Christ.

Our worship service is a blended worship. That means we sing some hymns (but only those where the words are understandable). We also sing some worship and praise choruses. The sermons are intended to not only keep you awake, but also help you deal with your life on the way home from church and all through the week.

Big enough to meet your needs, small enough to know your name, Franklin Park is a large-small church, or a small medium church. There are enough people to have activities and events to provide for your social as well as your spiritual needs, for you and your family, but we are small enough that you can't get lost in the crowd. If you want a place to be anonymous, well, that's not us, but we are a place that cares about people.
